Can we envision a school that not only serves during the traditional morning and afternoon hours, but also provides a safe and accessible space for residents throughout the day in “Sejong New Smart City”? The integration of new technologies and appropriate low-tech spatial partitioning techniques may enable us to achieve this ambitious goal. These schools will be dispersed throughout the city while also serving as gathering points for the community.

The integration of new technologies such as smart building systems, renewable energy sources, and advanced HVAC systems can improve the efficiency and sustainability of the school. Moreover, such systems can help to reduce the school's carbon footprint and contribute to the city's overall sustainability goals. In addition, low-tech spatial partitioning techniques, such as movable walls, flexible furniture, and acoustic treatments, can allow the school to adapt to different uses throughout the day, from a classroom to a community center.
