The Future of Banghyeon Village

The competition aims to revitalize Banghyeon Village’s aging rural architecture with new technology, programs, and ideas while preserving existing structures. The proposal involves analyzing unique features and incorporating new programs through "extension," "attachment," and "overlap." IoT will improve efficiency while maintaining traditional charm. New programs for younger generations will be introduced. The design will enhance the village's identity and promote sustainable development with renewable energy. Revitalization will bring economic benefits and improve residents' quality of life, establishing a model for rural architecture revitalization in Korea and beyond.
